La Bruschetta con Pomodoro e Basilico

6 slices Italian bread -- sliced 1/2" thick
1 pound fresh Romano tomatoes
1/2 cup fresh basil
2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
pinch salt
pinch pepper
2 cloves of garlic, peeled
Toast bread in a low oven until dry and crisp. Rub with garlic clove.
Roughly dice tomatoes. Finely chop basil.
Add all ingredients to tomatoes.
Spoon on top of bread and serve.
